I’ve wanted a folk-art-inspired wood flag sign for some time now, but never seemed to find time to make one. Well, today I decided to get on with it. After all, I had everything I needed – the wood, stain, paints, and even the stars stencil.
I’ve seen some really neat “arty” wood flags with all sorts of loose brushwork and splatters and even glitter, but I wanted one that was more traditional. I wanted it rustic-looking, but also wanted the 50 stars and 13 stripes. I’m really pleased with how it looks.
I hung it over my front door. Here is a room shot. Not the best lighting since I was facing all the windows. So glad I finally took the time to make it. I think I’ll enjoy using it in my home for a long time to come.
